It removes the staining agent through chemical means. It is a safe procedure when carried out under professional supervision. Treatment results usually depend on the severity of the discolouration. Both vital (i.e. live) and non-vital teeth (e.g. tooth with root removed) can be bleached and may take several visits to complete. It is not effective on dental restorations such as amalgam fillings, metal or porcelain crowns, etc.<\/p>

Teeth can discolour for various reasons. The dentist will recommend the most ideal method based on your oral condition after an in-office examination to establish the cause and nature of your tooth discolouration, as well as provide you with more information on the various types of whitening procedures available, duration & frequency of treatment. Typically, a patient will visit one of our dentists who specialises in teeth whitening. The dentist will normally take a mould \/ cast of your teeth to create \u2018trays\u2019 which are an identical match to your teeth layout. Cold sores are small blisters that develop either on the lips or around the mouth. They are caused by the herpes simplex virus.<\/p>

A cold sore normally starts with a tingling or itching sensation around your mouth. Small fluid-filled sores then begin to appear, most commonly on the edges of your lower lip.<\/p>

People can get a cold sore when they are generally run down, or ill with cold\/flu. Also, sunlight can often bring on an outbreak of cold sores.<\/p>

A cold sore is most infectious when it is blistering. I know it\u2019s easier said than done, but you must try to avoid touching cold sores, or attempting to squeeze them as you can pass the virus on. If you happen to touch the affected area you must wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.<\/p>

Cold sores usually clear up by themselves in about 7-14 days, fortunately there are Antiviral creams, such as acyclovir that you can get from a Pharmacist which can ease the pain and help the sores heal more quickly.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
